New Way in Title Deed Tapu Transfers Starts on 15th of September
The application, which allows buyers and sellers in different cities or countries to make a Land Registry transaction without coming together, will be put into service in all Land Registry Offices from September 15.
In a statement the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, reminds that if the buyers and sellers are in different land registry directorates or one of the parties is abroad the regulation that allows title deed transfer entered into force on January 1.
In this scope a pilot application for land registry operations was launched on January 17 for the following regions – Ümraniye, Çankaya, Büyükçekmece, Kepez, Bayraklı and Bornova land registry offices and the Berlin representative office. Further the application was expanded.
The application allows for citizens in different places to make transactions without the need to be present in a directorate at the same time.:
“In this way, citizens make transactions without leaving the place they live and without interrupting daily life and preventing loss of time on travel, accommodation, etc. they were able to save on expenses. The application also played an important role in preventing the spread of the disease in the pandemic time and protecting public health. Due to the pandemic citizens, who could not leave their home or even the city where they lived, were able to the transfer the title deeds without a delay.”
352 transactions have been made so far. The application will be available in all Land Registry Directorates since 15-th of September
