Accessing information about your land, house, or agricultural land is now much easier. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change has opened the Turkish National Geographic Information Platform to citizens. This system allows access to geographic data with a single click through e-Government.
What is This Geographic Information Platform?
This platform has been widely used by public institutions for a long time. Developed with technical support from TÜRKSAT, the system began providing services via e-Government on January 1, 2025. Now, citizens can also access this information.
Who Can Use It?
- Citizens
- Academics
- Private market representatives
- Public institutions
Anyone can access the data by logging into the system using their e-Government credentials. Simply visit www.tucbs.gov.tr or turkiye.gov.tr.
What Type of Information Can Be Accessed?
- Zoning plans for land and residential areas
- Infrastructure information, such as electricity and water
- Soil structure and water resources for agricultural land
- Green space, park, and transportation infrastructure for neighborhoods
- Earthquake risk, landslide zones, and streambeds
This means you have important information at your fingertips regarding both the buying and selling processes and choosing a place to live.
Is the Data Safe?
Yes. All data uploaded to the platform is checked against specific standards. Furthermore, the institution providing the data determines who can access it. This ensures both security and accuracy.
No Confusion Thanks to a Common Language
Thanks to the platform’s “Data Dictionary,” all institutions use the same terminology, making data more understandable, organized, and reliable.
In short, whether you are planning to buy a plot of land or want to get to know the area before starting a project, the National Geographic Information Platform provides you with the information you need quickly and securely.
You can log in with your e-Government account and view many details about your location on the map.
