Mandatory Verification Requirement Introduced for Property-for-Sale Listings
A New Era Begins as of 1 February 2026
An important new regulation aimed at increasing the reliability of real estate listings is being implemented in the property sector. In line with the decision taken by the Ministry of Trade, authority verification will become mandatory for property-for-sale listings as of 1 February 2026.
Under this new practice, all listings for properties offered for sale—including residential properties—will not be allowed to be published on listing platforms unless the required authority verification has been completed.
Scope of the Regulation
According to the decision:
-
Residential property listings for sale
-
All other property-for-sale listings, including land, plots, and commercial properties
will not be permitted to be advertised without prior authority verification.
This system aims to confirm both the accuracy of listings and the authorization of the individual or institution placing the advertisement.
What Is the Purpose?
The key objectives of this regulation are:
-
To prevent unauthorized and misleading listings
-
To enhance transparency in the real estate market
-
To ensure that consumers have access to accurate and reliable property listings
-
To reduce unregistered and uncontrolled listing activity within the sector
