Turkish citizens’ interest in overseas real estate investments continues to grow. According to balance of payments data shared by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), In 2024, real estate purchases made by Turkish residents abroad increased by 20.5% compared to the previous year, reaching $2.513 billion. In January alone, this figure was recorded at $144 million.
With these data, the two countries where Turks purchase the most real estate have also been determined. Bayram Tekçe, President of the Real Estate Exporters Association (GİGDER), stated that Turkish investors prefer Dubai and Greece in particular when purchasing real estate abroad.
Turkey ranks 7th in Dubai investments
In Dubai specifically, Turkey ranks 7th among countries investing from abroad, following India, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, Pakistan, and the United States.
By 2025, Turkish investors are expected to earn more than $150 million in rental income from their real estate in Dubai.
