In a statement made by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, it was reminded that the regulation, which allows contracts aimed at the transfer of real estate ownership to be made in cases where buyers and sellers are in different land registry directorates or abroad, entered into force on January 1.<\/p>\n
It was reminded in the statement that the pilot application for land registry transactions within this scope was launched on January 17 in the \u00dcmraniye, \u00c7ankaya, B\u00fcy\u00fck\u00e7ekmece, Kepez, Bayrakl\u0131 and Bornova land registry directorates and the Berlin representative office, and it was reported that the application was later expanded.<\/p>\n
The statement, which stated that the application made it possible for citizens in different places to make transactions without having to be present at a directorate at the same time, noted the following:<\/p>\n
“Thus, our citizens were able to make transactions without leaving their place of residence and without interrupting their daily work, preventing loss of time and saving on travel, accommodation, etc. expenses. The application also undertook an important task in terms of preventing the spread of the heinous disease and protecting public health during the pandemic. The title deed transfer transactions of our citizens who could not leave their homes or even the city they lived in due to the pandemic were carried out without any disruption.”<\/p>\n
The statement stated that the application, which has been carried out for 352 transactions to date, will be put into service in all Land Registry Directorates as of September 15.<\/p>\n
